This is my LO's first Halloween and she didn't dress up because it was 73 degrees out when we went trick or treating and I didn't want her to overheat in her cute costume. However I got really inspired after seeing all of the creative costumes on other children as we walked down 24th Street in Noe Valley, San Francisco.

I think the key to having a great costume is creativity, unique idea, or making it yourself! I remember when I was a little girl my mom made my costumes. To this day I don't know how she did it- but I always loved wearing them! I had some pretty challenging requests too... Ellaroo (half elephant and half kangaroo), half ghost/half witch, and an alien. As you can see there were always too many good options and it was hard to decide on just one idea!
